A note about AI
Because AI has become so commonplace across all aspects of creative work, it feels necessary to have a statement somewhere on this website about AI and to clarify where it fits into my work. To make it easy, I’m proud to say that all of the work you see on this site, including the copy for all of the case studies, is made entirely by humans: either by myself as the designer (or writer), or by the other talented humans I worked alongside as an art director. From ideation to the finished product, no AI was used at any point, and it’s my intention as a designer to always create my work this way.
It’s my belief that AI has no place whatsoever in the creative process. It devalues the work we do as creatives, diminishes our ability to solve creative problems, shuts us off from the collaborative process, makes false promises of making our work “easier” and—in no small way—is actively harming our planet. What I love about being a designer is bringing my own brain and all of its flaws to the creative process, learning and growing from the experience of solving problems and from working alongside other talented people. No matter how capable or efficient AI becomes, and there’s no doubt that the technology evolves every day, it’s actively harmful to human creativity and human expression.
